| Australian couples beware: there's a one in four chance your partner cheats while traveling. That's the surprising Valentine's Day poll result by Expedia.com.au “We’ve all heard the phrase, ‘It doesn’t count if it’s in a different postcode’, but we never thought so many people would seriously be putting it into practice," says marketing director Kristi Barrow. |
| The poll elicited responses from more than 5,000 Australians, showing that relationship partners should be particularly wary when their other half announces a solo holiday to France, where (34%) of respondents believe they would have the best chance of experiencing a holiday romance. Paris also came out on top of the list of the world’s most romantic city (51%), followed by Venice (31%) and Rome (9%). |
| Some 80% of respondents said they would not base their choice of holiday destination on the sexiness of the locals, they did admit to finding Brazilians the world’s sexiest people (34%), with Italians coming a somewhat distant second (23%). The Brits came out losers in the sexiness stakes, with only (4%) of respondents considering them sexy. |
Survey respondents named a sunset dinner cruise (45%) and a fancy candlelit dinner (27%) as the most romantic activities. |
